To edit a template, right-click the template in CodeSmith Generator Explorer or Template Explorer or Window Explorer and select Edit.

This will open the template in the default template editor. CodeSmith Generator Explorer will Template Explorer will use an existing editor session if possible, otherwise it will launch a new editor session.
